Maestro
(Taken in front of the Art Institute of Chicago, at Michigan and Monroe.)
This was quite the scene. A group of teenage bucket-drummers were banging out a rousing, heart-pumping cadence in front of a hundred-or-so tourists on the Art Institute steps, when suddenly another street performer, a solitary white-haired guitarist, began conducting them with his bare hands, in a display of euphonic exhilaration and desperation-driven madness. The crowd of tourists smiled genuinely, cheering.
