Icarus (120 N LaSalle, the Loop) This is part of a huge, gorgeous tile mosaic that hangs over the entrance of the building.  To the left of Icarus is his father Daedalus (click here to see the whole mosaic on my flickr account). If you forgot the story, Daedalus was a mythological architect who designed the infamous labyrinth of Minos (as in Minotaur), and was then exiled with his son, Icarus, on the island of Crete for helping the hero Theseus escape. In order to get off the island, Daedalus created wax wings for him and Icarus. He warned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun, but Icarus got a little excited (read: stupid) and his wings melted off. The moral? Don’t aim too high, kids. You’ll fail :) Lost NewsIt looks like Michelle Rodriguez (Anna-Lucia) will be back for episode 2 of the season. Great. The worst character ever.
